Collab Village is a Professional Network for the Game & Entertainment Industry
Collab Village is an ambitious project that allows professionals within the Game & Entertainment Industry to show off their best work. The site is currently in the final stages of QA and will be launching late this summer!
The Challenge
The concept for Collab Village was simple - allow professionals an easy way to show off their work. A simple concept, however, doesn't always mean a simple implementation. The specs for the site included multiple integrations with 3rd party APIs as well as some pretty cool home grown features and functionality. Our task was to bring it all together and make sure it "just worked"
The Solution
Collab Village was built with Django and PostgreSQL using PostGIS for location based functionality. We integrated the site with APIs from LinkedIn, YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud, and Yahoo!. The site is a great achievement for us and we're super happy with how it turned out. The plan is to launch Collab Village some time in August if all goes well.
